Completing your firearm training Work as follows:

Once the Learner has completed any of the Firearm Training Courses via online training or, the Learner will need to contact one of the SA Security Academy Branches to book their practical Exam slot. Each Purchased Unit Standard has a training video. The videos contain the basics but will allow the learner to have a better understanding how the training works. The learner will need complete the Formative exam at home and book a classroom & range session once this is complete. The system will generate an Online Learning Course Certificate once all the videos for that unit standard have been watched. The certificate will form part of the Learner’s POE and will be saved on the learner’s profile within your Training Centre profile.

 (Can be done on the same day if the Learner is ready) at one of the TSASA registered Shooting Ranges under the supervision of a TSASA Instructor.

To complete the online training please Visit https://itaportal.co.za/client/login  and create your user profile. Once your POP is received one the TSASA admins will enrol you in the course you paid for,

This part of the process is unfortunately mandatory and will be required if the Learner wishes to be registered with PSIRA, no course report will be submitted without completion of the Practical Exam.

RULES OF ATTENDANCE AT TSASA TRAINING CENTRE.

• ALL STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THAT ONLY SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS CAN BE REGISTERED WITH PSIRA AFTER THEY HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE COURSE / S ENROLLED IN.
• ALL CLASSES WILL START AT 08H30 SHARP TO 15H30 FROM MONDAY TO SATERDAYS.
• STUDENTS TO RESPECT THE OTHER PERSONS WORKING OR STUDYING IN THE SAME OFFICES BY NOT MAKING EXCESSIVE NOISE BY SHOUTING OR SCREAMING.
• NO LATE ARRIVALS OR EARLY LEAVING WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL BE TOLERATED BY ANY STUDENT.
• ANY STUDENT THAT FINDS HE / SHE WILL BE LATE FOR A CLASS OR THAT HE / SHE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE CLASS WILL INFORM THE INSTRUCTOR IN PERSON VIA A PHONE CALL TO 011 404 1446 BETWEEN 08H00 & 16H00 ONLY.
• NO FORM OF NOTIFICATION VIA ANY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM WILL BE ATTENDED TO OR WILL BE ACCEPTED.
• NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENGAGE IN ANY FORM OF POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS WHILE ATTENDING A LEARNING SESSION.
• NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND A CLASS WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OR SMELLING OF ALCOHOL AND OR DRUGS – YOU WILL BE EXPELLED FROM TSASA WITH NO REFUND. I AGREE THAT THE TRAINING CENTRE MANAGER WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEMAND A BREATHALYZER TEST SHOULD HE / SHE SUSPECT THAT I AM UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS AND OR ALCOHOL.
• NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO SMOKE WHILE IN THE TRAINING HALL OR ON THE PREMISES OF TSASA INCLUDING THE TOILETS.
• NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE HIS / HER RUBBISH IN THE CLASSROOM, UTILISE THE DUSTBINS SITUATED OUTSIDE OF THE TRAINING CENTRE AT ALL TIMES.
• ALL STUDENTS WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO RE WRITE AN EXAM ONCE SHOULD HE / SHE HAVE FAILED THE FINAL EXAM, THEREAFTER THERE WILL BE A REWRITE FEE CHARGED OF R 150.00 PER ATTEMPT THEREAFTER.
• ALL STUDENTS HERE WITH EXCEPT THE TSASA IS BOUND BY THE PFTC AND PSIRA’S RULES AND CAN ONLY ACT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE RULES.
• ALL STUDENTS BY VIRTUE OF TICKING THE BOX BELOW HEREBY DECLARE THAT HE / SHE HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THE ABOVE RULES AND THEREFORE AGREE TO ABIDE TO THE RULES SET OUT ABOVE.

1. I DO NOT HAVE ANY COUGHING OR SNEEZING SYMPTOMS RELATED TO COVID-19.
2. I HAVE NOT BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ANY PERSONS THAT HAVE BEEN FOUND AS POSITIVE WITH COVID-19.
3. I HAVE NOT YET IN THE PAST ATTENDED OR COMPLETED THE REQUIRED GRADES COURSE/S AT ANY ACCREDITED PSIRA TRAINING CENTER.
4. I AM DOING THIS TRAINING COURSE WITH TSASA OUT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
5. I CAN READ & WRITE & UNDERSTAND ENGLISH.
6. THAT I WILL ABIDE BY ANY AND ALL INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE INSTRUCTOR AT ALL TIMES.
7. I INDEMNIFY THE TSASA INSTRUCTORS OF ANY LIABILITY SHOULD I SUSTAIN ANY KIND OF INJURY WHILE PARTAKING IN THE GRADES COURSE/S OR THE COMPETENCY COURSE.
8. I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WILL BE NO REFUND OF THE COURSE FEES SHOULD I NOT COMPLETE THE COURSE/S I ENROLLED IN, FOR WHATEVER REASON.
9. I WILL NOT MAKE MYSELF GUILTY OF ANY MISCONDUCT AND UNDERSTAND THAT I MAY BE EXPELLED WITHOUT A REFUND FROM THE TRAINING CENTRE.
10. I HEREBY UNDERTAKE THAT I WILL ABIDE BY ANY AND ALL INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE TSASA INSTRUCTOR OR RANGE OFFICER AT ALL TIMES.
11. I HAVE NOT IN THE PAST ATTENDED OR COMPLETED THE REQUIRED NEW FIREARM COMPETENCY COURSE AT ANY FIREARM TRAINING CENTER. PLEASE INFORM THE INSTRUCTOR IF YOU DID.
12. I AM DOING THIS FIREARM COMPTENCY COURSE OUT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
13. I HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN ANY ADVICE BY ANY OF THE TSASA INSTRUCTORS WHEREBY THEY INFORMED ME THAT I HAVE TO RE DO MY COMPETENCY TRAINING SO THAT I CAN RENEW MY COMPETENCY OR FIREARM LICENCE APPLICATION FOR A CURRENT OR NEW FIREARM.
14. I WILL ALWAYS ABIDE BY TSASA’s TRAINING CENTRE HOURS OF BUSINESS.
